Putt-Putt & Rheinland Haus

I know I'm stuck in the '60s lately, but I just can't get enough of the decade!

Hope you forgive me and enjoy these ads from ... 1967.

I had no idea how long that Putt-Putt had been around!

A comedian AND a stripper!

  5. I really miss that Putt-Putt. I have little interest in miniature golf courses that are little more than gigantic cartoon shows with a putting green thrown in like the putting green is the frivilous part. Plus, I was really good at that Putt-Putt. By the time it closed, I regularly shot about a 35. :-)

  6. To be more specific Rheinland Haus (Rhineland House) was named for western Rhineland Germany in Mecklenburg Strelitz province where Charlotte Sophia of the royal House of Duchy hailed. Sophia was selected for marriage by King George III of England in 1761. She was 17. He was 22 but the sickly type even though she had 14 children by him allegedly.

QC was one tough broad and the only reason there was a Revolutionary War forcing KG3 to go war with the American colonist rebels after the Boston Tea Party in 1775. George was not a fighter. He was a lover. There are rumors all 14 children though were not genetically his and QC was secretly a catbird. Some say the statue at the airport permanently bent over was symbolic and no mistake. True story.

  9. Get it right. The name "Jesus" is incorrect if you refer to Messiah.
His real name was Joshua. Messiah's name never was "Jesus" and that name is an invention of man.

In the KJV of the scriptures we find an interesting problem in translation.

Acts 7:44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen. Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles whom God drove out before the face of our fathers unto the days of David.

Isn't this scripture referring to Joshua son of Nun rather than the Savior? Yes. Here is another instance...

Hebr 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day saying in David, today, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

Again, the context reveals that this scripture is referring to Joshua, the son of Nun and not the Messiah. All other translations put "Joshua" here. Why then is it translated 'Jesus'? The answer lies in the Greek/Latin corruption of the Messiah's original Hebrew name. Originally, the name of the Messiah was , pronounced Yahushua. This is the Messiah's original name. When the Gentiles tried to transliterate His name into Greek, they came up with ihsoun or "Iesous". But originally, this word was from #3091 in the Hebrew which is . When Iesous was transliterated into Latin, it became "Iesus", which was then carried over into English it became our modern day "Jesus" when the letter "J" developed.

Therefore, the reason the King James Version has "Jesus" in those two verses is because the Messiah's name is actually the same name as Joshua, Son of Nun... correctly pronounced "Yahushua". It is quite evident that the modern form "Jesus" doesn't even remotely resemble the original name that the disciples were praying in, baptizing in and receiving so much criticism for preaching in. This is fact. Do some research and see for yourself.
