There are lots of Holidays, were these for the 4th of July, or Vetrans day or Columbus day.....just wondering what holiday?

Seriously? You must have skipped right over that opening line "From the pages of the Charlotte Observer, December, 1956". An additional hint would be the frequent use of the word "Christmas" in the ads.

12:39 is being disingenuously obtuse.

S/he just wants to pick a fight about the much-discussed but rarely confirmed War on Christmas.

I find every one of these racists or sexist or something that offends a small group or the other.

How these folks created the greatest country on the face of the Earth is beyond me. They should have been more politically correct.

See what all this offended attitude has done for our country today.

Dang! I checked this out to also see some Hanukkah ads, since it said Holiday Ads. Sorry I missed 'em.

I love the ad for the table lighters. I have one that belonged to my grandparents and now I know what it is!!! I have always wondered why they had a big, decorative lighter and now I know they were "in fashion" at one time.
