Blue jeans and corduroys

And overalls and denim vests!

Can you guess what year these ads ran? Right! 1979.

I seem to remember never having much luck at Cheap Joe's.

(sorry, I don't know what that scrap is in the middle of the scan.)

Lots of wood in the decor at Wrangler Wranch.

I sewed my own denim overalls in 12th grade but didn't adjust for my long waist. It wasn't pretty.

How did all these stores stay in business at the same time?

Bought some overalls here for a fact. And painter's pants!

My high school boyfriend had Levi's cords in light blue and in rust.
The cords were nice. Him, not so much.

 Loved Collins at Cotswold.

Hmm. Leggs and Tailfeathers brands for men. And neato embroidered shirts!

Have you seen the Seinfeld episode where Elaine refers to a
guy as 'Denim Vest' and not as a compliment? Funny.

The "scrap" in the second image appears to be a Crayola crayon. Notice it appears again in the Collins ad. Perhaps "color" was a Levi's ad campaign that season.

Anon 12:51 - you are brilliant! I'm sure you're right -- I was thinking there was a scrap on the scanner lens. Tx! Maria
