What was in the newspaper 100 years ago today?

Nobody is forcing you to read it. Many of us find the paper and website to be very informative and the Retro Charlotte blog to be very interesting.

1:18 As soon as the observer stops saying they represent all of us here in Charlotte and admit the are slanted, then we all will not be so miffed when folks like you relish in the lack of real journalistic integrity.

When did the Observer say they represent all of Charlotte? Larry, you are in desperate need of employment or some kind of hobby to occupy the many hours a day you spend posting stupid comments.

Maria, this page is wonderful. Keep up the terrific work!

Hmmmm, why would an 80-year old man sleep in a barn in Salisbury in the month of January? And none of his neighbors thought this was strange?
Maybe I'm just getting too emotionally involved in this story Maria. Anyway,I enjoy these tidbits from the past - please keep them coming.
