Speedway Infield

Twice a year a small city rises in the infield at Charlotte Motor Speedway to watch racin'!

Have you ever stayed in the infield? 

The one time I did a guy was yelling for 'Charlie!' all night ... until he feel off the roof of the U-Haul he was camping in. He got quiet then...

'Cindy and John Griswold, from New Smyrna, Fla. enjoy a makeshift pool in the bed of a Ford F150 pickup in the infield at Lowes Motor Speedway Saturday prior to the start of the Nextel All-Star Challenge. The 'pool' held over 100 gallons of water with chlorine, which they added themselves. John said 'This is one of my favorite tracks. We like the whole Charlotte area and the NASCAR flea market outside the track'.
