Plaza-Midwood: Then and Now

    One of the earliest 'streetcar suburbs', Plaza-Midwood real estate has gained in value in the last twenty years. Here are 1990 photos, newer pix from Meck Co GIS site, and tax values from 1991 and 2011 (the closest years available).

1424 Hamorton Place

2011 tax value: $329,200

"Then and now," but many of the tax photos on the Meck GIS are 10+ years old. Some of these houses have been significantly improved since the mid 2000's.

These homes go back 150 years or more. Gotta dig a little deeper plus they had color in 1991.

the midwood kilgo boys ... past tv and radio personalities of the city for decades... and their namesake church beside the home ...

jimmy as ways 61 radio dis jockey & weatherman at wsoc & his saturday noon kilgos kanteen high school dance show in the mid -late 60s...
john as the gruff sports guru for ages ...

if they still own it they made a small fortune ...
